1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using this website (kelleyroofingct.com), requesting a free estimate, submitting an online inquiry, or entering into a contract for exterior home improvement services with Kelley Roofing LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this site or request services.

2. Estimates, Inspections & Proposals

We provide complimentary, zero-obligation on-site roof inspections and estimates for residential property owners across New Haven County and surrounding Connecticut municipalities.

Non-Destructive Inspections: Initial inspections are visual and non-destructive. Concealed decking rot, structural framing damage, or underlying ventilation defects not visible prior to shingle tear-off cannot be guaranteed in preliminary estimates and will be documented and priced via written change order.
Estimate Validity: Due to material supply fluctuations, written proposals are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue unless specified otherwise in writing.
No High-Pressure Tactics: In accordance with our company policy since 1986, we never employ high-pressure same-day signing deadlines or deceptive discounts.

3. Connecticut Home Improvement Act Compliance

All contracting agreements entered into with Kelley Roofing LLC strictly adhere to the Connecticut Home Improvement Act (Connecticut General Statutes § 20-418 et seq.):

Every contracted project is memorialized in an executed written contract containing start dates, substantial completion dates, clear scope of work, and itemized payment schedules.
No oral changes or additions are enforceable; any scope modifications require a written change order signed by both parties.
Our state registration number (CT HIC #0565252) is prominently displayed on all written contracts, vehicles, and marketing materials as mandated by CT state law.

4. Statutory Right of Cancellation (CT Home Solicitation Sales)

Under Connecticut law (Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 740, Home Solicitation Sales Act), homeowners who sign a home improvement contract at their residence retain the statutory right to cancel the transaction without penalty within three (3) business days following the date of contract execution. Detailed notice of cancellation forms and cancellation procedures are provided with every executed contract.

5. Manufacturer Warranties & Workmanship

Kelley Roofing LLC is an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor.

Manufacturer Warranty: Shingles and manufacturer accessories are covered by standard Owens Corning manufacturer limited warranties as defined by Owens Corning product literature. Kelley Roofing LLC does not offer or represent extended manufacturer warranty tiers.
Workmanship Warranty: Workmanship is warranted against installation defects for the specific period explicitly set forth in your written agreement.
Exclusions: Warranties do not cover acts of God, gale/hurricane wind velocities exceeding manufacturer ratings, structural building settling, homeowner neglect, ice damming caused by uncorrected interior attic heat loss, or alterations made by third parties.

6. Property Care & Debris Containment

We take extraordinary measures to protect your residential property during tear-off and installation:

We employ specialized equipment including the Equipter "Roofers Buggy" mobile debris trailer and tarp shielding to protect shrubs, landscaping, driveways, and siding.
Our crews perform magnetic roller sweeps across all work areas to collect discarded roofing nails. While our sweeps are thorough, homeowners are advised to exercise caution around perimeter eaves during the project.
Homeowners are requested to secure fragile interior wall hangings, keep children and pets indoors during active tear-off hours, and relocate vehicles from driveways prior to 7:00 AM on work days.

7. Payment Terms & Financing

Payment schedules are clearly itemized in each contract. Payment may be made via check, certified funds, major credit card, or approved third-party financing:

Financing offers (such as 0% promotional interest or monthly installment plans) are administered through independent third-party lending partners and are subject to credit approval.
Kelley Roofing LLC does not finance projects directly and never marks up material or labor costs for customers utilizing financing plans.

8. Communications & TCPA Consent

When you submit an inquiry form or quote request on our website, you provide express written consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) for Kelley Roofing LLC to contact you via telephone call or SMS text message at the telephone number provided regarding your exterior estimate. Consent is never a condition of purchase, and you may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying "STOP".

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any agreement between you and Kelley Roofing LLC, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any legal proceeding arising out of or related to these terms shall be instituted exclusively in the state courts located in New Haven County, Connecticut.
